CLOCK No. 4 - JUNGHANS ART DECO ALARM WITH SECONDS BIT, "RUHIG-TICKER" MODEL This is one of several alarm and desk clocks from a small collection that I purchased. This Junghans art deco alarm is an excellent clock dating from the 1930's. It has typical art deco styling on the hands and face, both of which are in excellent condition. It is the "Ruhig-Ticker" model which translates to 'quiet ticker'. The clock has a seconds bit above the 6 and the alarm setting is just below the 12. The clock is extremely quiet and I slept with it in my bedroom one night just a few feet from my head. The dial bezel, back, alarm shut off, and feet are all solid brass. I am a little reluctant to let this clock go because I really like! The alarm has all of of its knobs and winders. The clock runs but I have not tested it to check its accuracy or how long it runs. I assume it to be a 30 hour clock but have not opened it to count the arbors. I know that it runs overnight but did not test it beyond that. The clock is 3-3/4" in diameter and it measures 2-1/4" across the dial ring.
