This auction is for a set of Alex DeLarge costume items from A Clockwork Orange , including a pair of eyeball cufflinks and a wool felt bowler hat. Unlike most other hats for sale on eBay, this is not a fake costume piece - it's a genuine wool hat made for everyday use. It's got some minor wear, but it's in great condition, and the winner will receive the exact hat in the photos.The cufflinks were custom made. Like the screen-worn pair, they feature one brown and one blue eyeball. Alex's cufflinks were affixed by a latex sheet, but that only lasts for one use. I wanted these to be reusable, so I made the bases out of semi-flexible polymer instead. It's a minor enough change that nobody will notice, but it'll ensure these will last. The cufflinks attach to the sleeve with four pins. When I first began making these, I created a mold for them. However, that made them look too neat and store-bought, when Alex's are clearly meant to look homemade. To maintain that look, I now roll, cut, and lacquer every single one by hand.
