Cloth Deck Helmet & Goggles, MARINES - Named! CVA-31! This is a Flight Deck Crew, cloth helmet with Goggles and sound muffs. These are used and the foam padding is showing age and losses as one would expect. The entire setup is exactly as I found it, in very nice shape. The Khaki colored strap is marked by the owner with: "6 MAY 59 USMC FLT CR. CPL T.M. RULE - USS BON HOMME RICHARD" The cloth helmet has only a partial label: "HELMETS, FLIGHT DECK CREW, IMPACT RESISTANT" The remainder of this label is cut out. The goggles are marked: "GOGGLES, SUN WIND AND DUST" The green lens is scratched. The sound muffs are marked: "AURAL PROTECTOR, SOUNDSPECIFICATION MIL-A-23899A (AS)N00383-72-C-3243DAVID CLARK CO., INC. The ear pads are thin. From Wikipedia...
