THE CO=MASON: VOL. VI, JULY 1914 ISSUE Book Details + Condition: Office of the Co-Mason (London). Very scarce First Edition journal for July 1914 (Volume 6). Softcover. Approximately 45 pages . Co-Freemasonry is a form of Freemasonry which admits both men and women. It began in France in the 1890s with the forming of Le Droit Humain , and is now an international movement represented by several Co-Freemasonic administrations throughout the world. Most male-only Masonic Lodges do not recognise Co-Freemasonry, holding it to be clandestine. After forming in France, several prominent members of the Theosophical Society joined Co-Freemasonry, including Annie Besant, George Arundale, Charles W. Leadbeater and C. Jinarajadasa. Wherever they took Theosophy, they also introduced Co-Freemasonry.Each issue begins with a "From the Master's Chair" editorial section, and includes articles on subjects relevant to Freemasonry, such as astrology, magic, ceremony and ritual, mysteries, and more. Articles from this issue include: Unhewn Stones; The Sanhedrin; Masons' Disputes; and more. Please see picture of Table of Contents, for more detail. The journal shows little to no wear, and doesn't appear to have been read (new-old stock). F irm binding; minor shelf wear; and clean interior.
