A Coalport slop bowl, c1825, beautifully painted with a continuous floral scene running around the outside of the bowl.It has a gilt gadrooned rim, a band of dentil gilding below the flower border and there is also gilt decoration to the inside of the bowl. Diameter 17.5cms. The bowl is unmarked but the shape is illustrated in 'Coalport & Coalbrookdale Porcelains' by G. Godden - plate 160. There is a fine hairline, approx 3 cms long, running down from the rim on the inside of the bowl -not visible on the outside. (Unable to show in a photo as fine) No other damage or restoration. Slight wear to the gilding on the inside centre.
