Hi, I'm Hew. I have enjoyed collecting flow blue, polychrome and transferware since 1970. Alas, it is now necessary for me to simplify life, downsize and make a portion of my collection available to others. I have also placed several pieces in my antique shop booth. My first preference is to sell to my fellow eBayers, so please let me know ASAP if I need to retrieve this piece for you. Cheers! This is a beautiful, wonderful, venerable polychrome mulberry or brown transfer porcelain Staffordshire handled plate, c 1800-30s. This plate is 9 5/8" handle to handle and 9" in diameter. The under-glaze mulberry/brown transfer and cobalt blue are overpainted with burnt orange, mustard and peach. The effect against the white background is very nice, and the porcelain body lends just the right amount of translucency. The reverse is unmarked. This plate is free of cracks, chips, flakes, and repairs. T are almost indiscernible utensil marks. T is the slightest read more
