Code 3 - Today's Leader in Die-Cast Modern Fire Trucks. This is a Brand New Mint in the Box Code 3 1:64 scale ( about 6" long ) Die-Cast Collectible Fire Truck. This is a Mack CF closed cab side mount pumper built for the Fire Department of New York, FDNY and operating as Foam #84. The 13111 Foam Carrier 84 is detailed to represent these special units in service with FDNY. The Mack Carrier has been retooled to include features that distinguish this rig from others in service to include the multiple canisters for foam on the dies and in the bed of the truck. The silver railings have been added as well as the rear panel both to contain and secure the canisters in transport. Not to be missed this is a special addition to any collection. Foam 84, known at various times as Foam Unit 84, Foam Apparatus 84 and Foam Carrier 84, was organized as a special unit in the quarters of Engine 154, at 3730 Victory Blvd., Staten Island in 1987. It served as such until December 29, 1998, when its designation was changed to Foam 154. All of the Foam rigs had their numerical designations changed at that time to reflect the FDNY Engine Company where quartered. All of the units carry foam concentrate in their tanks, along with many five gallon cans of foam concentrate. They carry various foam nozzles, eductors, a foam generator, plus a portable foam cannon. read more
