A platter crafted of majolica clay and hand-painted flora and fauna in an array of warm browns, blues, yellows and greens. From artisans of Portugal in 17th century style. Marked, "G-149 / Meiselman-Imports / Made in Portugal / SEC=XVII / P". It measures about 17.25 inches long and 13.25 wide. The platter is somewhat cupped with an indention of about 1.25 inches. The back is wired to allow for ease in hanging but this does not interfere with its use as a platter. The glaze shows a few irregularities but no damage.
