Texas pipemaker Colin Rigsby is really making a name for himself as he travels to pipe shows around the country and receives terrific reviews for his pipes. This is an outstanding example of his work which he sells under the name Shurwood Briars. The blast is quite nice and the canted bowl, pencil shank and Cumberland stem make for a unique presentation. Best of all, Rigsby is picky when it comes to his briar and his pipes always smoke cool and dry with every puff. The size/weight ratio below is a prime example of how light and well cured his briar is. This estate piece has only been smoked a few times and still shows a little bare wood at the bottom of the bowl. The Cumberland stem is showing the barest hint of scratching in a couple of spots. Approximate measurements: 5-3/4 inches long. 2-inch bowl height. Just under 1-1/4 inch rim width. The chamber width is .70 inches. Weight is exactly 38.8 grams.
