This wepon is made For Cutting, I bought it at the Texas Renfest from the maker, Videos are on their web site, I have never cut anything with it and it is made to work, this is one of the "bright Knight" series, I payed $2,100 for it so i will start the bidding at $500.00, check out their web site ...it's cool and I beleive they garuntee their sword for life... I have the original receipt. Thanks for looking, this is for serious use, feel free to ask questions, I hope I have an answer I have the receipt and will send it with the item so if you want you can upgrade it at the renfest, the blade has a slight 1/2 in deep curve to it and the blade length is 29" and the handle is 12 inches , overall length 42", the wood I beleive is an african teak currly patern and on the receipt it is called a "red wrap katana
