Collectible Antique Vtg MATSON TISSUE PAPER BOX COVER Description One of several 1950s collectible Matson vanity pieces being offered in separate listings... This listing is for a tissue paper box cover in a brassy metal, and features the popular bird-dogwood motif... Ornately decorated with filigree details all around, and along the top. Opens and closes along the top which is finished off with 2 bird-dogwood appliques. The inside is lined with a lightly embossed brass colored cardboard which is finished along the bottom with a partially denuded plum velveteen backing. Affixed along the bottom is a label which reads 'Matson 24 KT. GOLD PLATED guaranteed non-tarnishable.' Measures ~5in wide X10&3/8in long X2&5/8in tall, and is in overall good condition, with a rich, vibrant patina, and expected age related soilage, wear, and specks of oxidative changes which seem to blend in harmoniously with the overall hue...
