YOUR BID IS A LEGAL & ENFORCEABLE CONTRACT. Thank you This is a GREAT Christmas gift for the Playboy collector in your life! You won't see many of these - they are very rare. This lighter consists of a Lucite block 2" x 2" x 4' high with black Lucite at the top & bottom, and suspended in the middle of the clear Lucite part is a genuine vintage Playboy key - I'd call it a Playboy Club key, but the back has nothing engraved on it, so technically, it can't be traced to any Club or member. Even though I'm an ex-Playboy Bunny and a Playboy collector, I don't know a lot about these lighters - like what years they were made - and t is nothing printed on it to tell me more. It's in pretty good condition for its age. T are light scratches on the outer surfaces. I'm also a Lucite artist (as you can see in my other auctions w some of the cases I designed are displayed - I can also send you to a link w my actual LUCITE ART is featured - my point is, I know Lucite. I own a lot of Lucite, and it scratches pretty easily. By the same token, the scratches can usually be buffed out pretty easily using the Novus plastic polishing line & scratch removers. Since this isn't very scratched up for its age, it may be Lexan - a stronger acrylic product that is used as "bulletproof glass". If anyone knows more about this lighter, please let me know. I'm not a smoker, so I don't have a flint or lighter fluid around to test this, but the top lighter part moves well and feels strong. The wick doesn't even look burned, so it may have never even been used as a lighter. I'm not an expert, so I'm just trying to describe what I see. I photographed this in front of my window on a sunny day so you could see how the light refracts and creates optical illusions with the key (t is only one key - sometimes from some angles, it looks like more than one key). I included a shot when the sun went behind the clouds so that t wouldn't be as much reflections on the front of the Lucite. That shot turned out dark, but even in the lower light, the key shines like new - and I guess it always will! I've been told that this is worth over $100.00, but I'll start the bidding lower & offer USPS Priority shipping with delivery confirmation & bubble wrap protection for right around my cost - $9.00. That does NOT include insurance, so if you want it, add it - I am not responsible for anything once it leaves my hands (unless I messed up & sent it to the wrong address ... ) I'll keep listing Playboy items & other collectibles this month as I can - Have a great Holiday!
