Collier's Covers: Dogs in Illustrations: Collies and Borzois, plus 2 Other Covers w/Dogs All five Collier's covers have dogs within the illustration. Three have collies and two have sight hounds that I think are Borzois or Deerhounds but I could be mistaken. Also included will be a cover from The Popular Magazine with a Borzoi and a cover from Success Magazine with what appears to be a Border Collie. Collier's used wonderful illustrators. Edward Penfield and Frank Leyendecker are two of the artists of this group of covers. A couple of the covers do not have an artist's signature that I could identify. They would look nice on the walls of an avid dog owner or perhaps a veterinary office. The Collier's covers are 10.5" by 15", the Success cover is 13.5" by 9.75", and the Popular Magazine cover is 10" by 7". The covers have been stored flat. All have minor flaws, including some edge chipping and age tanning as to be expected since they are more than 100 years old. They are not the quality a "collector" would insist upon but they are perfect for a dog lover who enjoys old illustrations.
