Up for Bid is one Machete and Leather Sheath, circa early 1960's, Approx. 21 inches long, with a 16 inch Blade, Blade is 2 1/4" wide at the widest part. Not sure but believe the finish on the Blade is Nickel, Blade is approx. 1/16 inch plus Thick (0.0625"+) , Handle is plastic. Left side of the blade has 3 'Blood' grooves in it and adjacent the handle the Blade is Stamped ' CORDERO FORJADA A MANO MADE IN GERMANY No 721 '. The Blade has never been sharpened, t is an approx. ½" spot of rust on the left side of the blade and some on the right side near the handle. The Sheath is Leather with White and Red plastic trim at the top. My uncle was a Petroleum Geologist working in Colombia in the early 1960's and picked this up for a souveneir. Must be legal to possess in your jurisdiction.
