King’s Arms Tavern 1997 Collection number 20489702This porcelain building is one in a collection based on the historic restoration at Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia. Designed by Lang & Wise Collectibles, this piece is finely detailed and stamped with the official logo and product number.Includes original green box with picture and building description on bottom, original interior lighting with electrical cord, and styrofoam packing material. Piece has been taken out of the box twice and is in mint condition. It has always been in a climate controlled and smoke free environment. Note: This piece is part of the full size, lighted collection and not the miniature “town hall” collection.Historic Background: In 1772, Jane Vobe opened the King's Arms Tavern and it became one of the town's most genteel establishments, catering to Virginia’s colonial elite and most politically influential people, including George Washington. Today the tavern is a working restaurant open to visitors.
