This auction is for a nice souvenir Elks badge from Colorado 1907. The pinback has white porcelain and reads COLORADO ELKS in blue porcelain lettering. The ribbon is purple with gold lettering and reads JULY 1907. The medal is very ornate and has porcelain lettering that reads BPOE. The medal shows a bull elk head coming out of the top of an ore bucket. On the front of the bucket are pictures of elk in the mountains, a sugar beet, and a farming scene. The badge was made by THE WHITEHEAD & HOAG CO. NEWARK N.J. The front of the ribbon is slightly sun faded, otherwise the badge is in very nice condition. I still have between 200-250 Elks souvenir badges, most from 1899-1910, that I will be listing in the next few weeks. Keep a close eye on my auctions.
