J L Dyer - Snow Shoe Itinerant. Autobiography of the Reverend John L. Dyer, originally published in 1890. Reproduction printed by Father Dyer/United Methodist Church/Robinson Press in 1975 in Breckenridge, Colorado, 362 pages, some illustrations, 5½ x 8". Father John Dyer was a traveling minister who reached Buckskin Joe, Colorado in 1861, after traveling on foot from Lenore, MN. He lived in Mosquito Gulch, and preached in South Park and surrounding areas until 1870, when he was transferred to the "Divide circuit" in Douglas County, transferred again to Breckenridge 1879/1880. Adventures in the Rocky Mountains during the wild mining days - includes William Byers, H.A.W.
