Columbian 1893 Commemorative Silver Half Dollar 50c NGC MS63 This lustrous, lightly toned coin has been graded and certified MS63 by NGC! The Columbian commemorative half dollar was struck for the Columbian Exposition which was held in 1893. It was a celebration of Christopher Columbus' "discovery" of America in 1492. The World's Columbian Expo was originally scheduled for 1892 but was postponed till 1893; therefore the coins were also struck in 1893. They were sold for $1 to the public at the expo, and because they were distributed largely to the non-collecting public, gem examples are rather scarce today. This coin will make a lovely addition to any collection! My Polices: All orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail with Signature Confirmation unless otherwise noted. Orders are generally processed within 1-2 business days from the time of purchase. Please note that we ship to specified countries only through the eBay Global Shipping Program.
