This is a complete set of illustrations depicting mid 19th century Danish national costumes by Danish artist F. C. Lund (Frederik Christian Lund 1826-1901.) The portfolio includes the cardboard folder, title page (which includes a list of the prints on the reverse-photos 3 & 4), Forord (Preface), and the 31 matted prints. The prints are all in great condition with no wear, but a few of the 11 1/4" wide x 15" long mats do have minor corner bumps and light creases (no tears or repairs). The colorful 7" wide x 10 1/4" long prints are glued to the mats along the top edge only (the glue on some of the prints appears to have dried out a bit over time, so as a result a few of the prints are partially separated from the mat, so they may need to be re-glued.) The cover of the 11 1/2" wide x 15 3/8" long x 1/2" thick folder is marked: DANSKE NATIONAL DRAGTER AF HISTORIEMALER-F.C. LUND. The title page, description and folder are in very good condition with just minor edge & corner wear and age discoloration. I'm not sure what year the set was produced.
