This is a nice and RARE find a complete German soldiers M16 helmet the shell its self is still solid for a relic and has not been cleaned still covered in mud and may well clean up with some effort and a cracking battlefield find and an iconic find from the battlefield.This item is part of a group of items that were last week recovered from an old German trench line on the outskirts of courcelette in the area were John chipman kerr won his victoria cross most of the items are all Canadian or German and most in very good condition for 90 years in the ground .This is a nice relic from the famous somme battlefield. The Canadian Corps made their debut on the Somme on left flank, at the north end of the attack.
