20 books for kids from the illustrated landmark series by Random House, all from between the 1940s and 1950s. A few of the books are first edition while some of them are later editions, but they're all in very good, readable shape. The titles include the Louisiana Purchase, to California by covered wagon, the building of the First Transcontinental Railroad, Mr Bell invents the telephone, the witchcraft of Salem Village, Ben Franklin of old Philadelphia, the Battle of Britain, Abe Lincoln log cabin to White House, the slave who freed Haiti, the conquest of the north and south poles, Custer's last stand, Lee and grant at Appomattox, Old Ironsides the fighting Constitution, the landing of the pilgrims, the Erie Canal, the winter at Valley Forge, Guadalcanal diary, the monitor and the Merrimack, Ethan Allen and the Green Mountain Boys, and war chief of the Seminoles.
