If we say the item has been serviced, it is safe to use out of the box, but in most cases it will say Tested and Functioning as designed. This does not mean it has been serviced. Because we buy pre-owned equipment for resale, we do not always know the last date of service and for this reason, we recommend you have it serviced before use.
