*** GARDELEGEN CONCENTRATION CAMP ~ HOLOCAUST PHOTO ~ TAKEN AT THE TIME OF THE LIBERATION 1945 ~ RARE ORIGINAL IMAGE #2*** This rare and historically significant wartime image is a must for the discriminating collector or Holocaust scholar. This rare photo was taken by a member of the U.S. 9th Army, in April of 1945, at the liberation of the Gardelegen Concentration Camp, near Berlin. T his disturbing, original snapshot measures 2 1/2" x 3 3/4" and is in excellent condition. It is one of nine, original holocaust photos from this camp, I currently have listed. Each photo is captioned in pencil, on the reverse and a color copy of the newspaper clipping, as saved by the GI, is included in this auction.
