is a Confederate Soldier and his wife and two Daughters Ambrotypes. The case that held these together is lost and these old Ambrtypes are in a rough condition as you can see. The tin frame they are both in are coming apart i have got them putogether by pushing in the sides to hold. Although they are old and rough condition they both can still be seen fairly well. They are both six Plates Ambrotypes with the images being on the Glass itself. The Civil War Soldier is wearing his roundbumber hat with what appears to be a Gold Eagle Pin in front of his hat. Also he is wearing a civilian Coat over his Uniform. The image of him is a tad Dark around his face area and shoulder area. The image of his wife is very clear and her and the Girls can be seen very good. One of t Daughters is wearing a pretty Gold Heart necklace. These are very old and Fragile Images that can still be seen very well. This was a good looking family. I hope he made it back home to them after the War.
