CONNECTICUT VALLEY FROM MOUNT TOM Massachusetts This beautiful steel engraving was published in 1874 (DATED, NOT a repro) in Picturesque America . It will come to you in archival matting, ready to frame. J. D. Woodward was the artist and S. V. Hunt, the engraver. Picturesque America, edited by William Cullen Bryant, was published by D. Appleton and Company, New York, in 1874. VERY GOOD condition -- clean and bright, printed on heavy paper, blank on the reverse. [A steel engraving is an image printed on paper from an inked steel plate which has been engraved with a portrait, view, or other art work.] Before shipping, the engraving, with full titles, will be matted in acid-free, conservation materials (antique white color mat) to STANDARD FRAME SIZE 11 x 14 inches.
