This is a 16" tall by 9" wide, VINTAGE and ORIGINAL, DIECUT CARDBOARD EASEL Standup Display Sign for WEHLE COLONIAL ALE. Colonial Ale was brewed by the WEHLE BREWING COMPANY, West Haven, Conn. and was only brewed from 1933 until 1941. This sign is from the Mid 1930's when beer and ale were first sold in cans. It reads .... "COLONIAL ALE IN CANS ... (TRADE MARKED) KEGLINED".... "WEHLE BREWING COMPANY ... WEST HAVEN, CONN." It features happy two colonists toasting with tall steins with a dog begging. The sign also features a Colonial Flat Top Keglined Opening Instructions O/I Can. On the can ...."12 FL. OZS. SAME AS BOTTLE" ... "COOL BEFORE SERVING". Just look at the photos (please ignore the camera flash glares) to see how GREAT this display sign looks. It is from the 1930's but it is in EXCELLENT Condition. Nice rich colors and no issues but for a pinhole on top. EXTREMLY RARE! Good luck ever finding another one that survived through the years. Much less in this condition. Low start, shipping and NO reserve so bid now because it will sell to someone. See my feedback (and other auctions) and bid with confidence. Thanks for the many bids on the Wehle Mule Head. Please check out the Old Topper Snappy Ale Cone Top Easel Sign I am also selling on Ebay. These two are the last two 30's easels I have to sell.
