Today, the marble of Connemara can be found in some of the world's great monuments like the halls of Trinity College Dublin, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, Kensington Palace and in some of America's finest buildings. The marble was formed over 700 million years ago. It has been used over the centuries as a means of exchange, for features in stately buildings and is recognised for its beautiful colour and resilience, with no two pieces being similar, a lovely clear limey green, with paler inclusions. Composed of organic fossilised foliage (hence colour) and believed to have healing properties. So bring a little of “the luck of the Irish” into your word with this colourful marble.
