Ready to add to you quality collection is this wonderful 2 Gallon Preserve Jar made and stamped by C. HAIDLE & CO., UNION POTTERY, NEWARK, N.J. This is the mark of Conrad Haidle and John C. Sonn who build and ran a pottery on Bloomfield Avenue in Newark from 1871 to 1875. T his beauty features a clear maker's stamp and a Double Floral . Good Condition. A 5/8" flake on the inside of the rim, wear on the recessed rim w a lid sat, a 1.5" chip in the rim above the right ear, and a minor 1/8" nibble on the left ear. Some staining on the outside on the left side and back. Hard water staining on the inside. No front rim chips, hairlines , cracks, or repairs.
