REMEMBER we are using a Macro lens any and all imperfection are picked up and MASSIVELY amplified way beyond what you could normally see with the naked eye The case A Classic vintage Diver "tool" watch through and through and frankly Massive an impressive size for a period watch at 39.5mm (excluding crown) 43mm inclusive and 42mm lug tip to lug tip an edgy take on the classic cushion case with its angular edges chromed case throughout in good condition with only minor ware adding to the overall vintage look of the watch Stainless steel "Snap-down" case back fully signed and logo-ed with the familiar "Scuba diver" badge Full width Bi-directional bezel turns with a good level of stiffness that has not been degraded with age. Unusually this is aluminium and more unusually still the watch stands apart from other divers watches of its period adopting a white silver coloration unlike the more standardized black dials more commonly seen. 20mm for lug spacing The Dial A lot of information to take in here as well as the standard divers watch reads presented by time elapsed and corresponding bezel position read we are also presented with a tachimeteric scale the central seconds hand split with what seems to be a precise 3 seconds split corresponding to the spacing of the main numbers now we cant say exactly what you could use this for but it would add another dimension to reading the tachimeteric scale. Also its a gimmick and it looks pretty cool So that will do for us. Again an unusually Racy look for a vintage divers watch ditching the more classic black/ white color combination and going for an altogether sportier Silver/ white, Blue usually adopted for vintage racers chronograph watches. Whether this watch is frankly having a personality crisis and cant decide if its a divers or racers watch we dont know and frankly we dont care it looks cool you wont see one again frankly its different and we like different. Date feature At 3 another (again seemingly useless (and still cool) sub seconds at 6. The strap The watch is fitted with unused a brand new quality slim genuine leather calf grain band black, 20 mm wide. (pssst.. (again) did you know we are are one of the UK's (if not the worlds) largest stockist of genuine vintage "open ended" Hirsch straps in hides such as elephant, deer, lizard, crocodile, seal, camel, sea lion, antelope, nappa calf shark etc etc (call us for details!)
