Family : Conidae Born : 1758, Linne Genus and Description : Conus capitaneus, 50.5mm, F+++/GEM, exceptional pattern Origin : collected by local fishermen by tangle nets set at over 200 meters deep off Olango Island, Cebu Philippines, September 2010 Shells are graded as follows (our guide): GEM : Shells without blemish or flaws, shells that are adult and of average size and live taken. F+++ : Shells with minor blemish or flaw that in no way detracts from the beauty of the specimen. F++ : Shells with noticeable blemishes which do not detract from the beauty of the specimen, shells are adult and average size. F+ : Shells with growth lines and nacre blemishes. These shells display well and represent good value for the species. FINE : Shells with chip, juvenile or fresh dead. IMPORTANT: Any shells we feel falls between the above categories will have further description. Postage/Shipping/Mailing Information: You are bidding/buying an item from the Philippines .
