This auction is for a unique, rare and unusual set of lens (filters) with adapter. This vintage set comes in its original leather covered and red velvet lined box, with instruction sheet. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Convertible Magniscopes, made in Rochester, New york Set consists of five optical glass and brass rim lenses and one brass adapter ring. Set includes - No. 1 - Violet Portrait Lens UV No. 2 - Wide Angle Lens No.3 - Tele Photo Lens No.4 - Copying and Enlarging Lens No.5 - Ray or Color Screen (used for bright outdoor light) No.6 Lens Attachment (adapter) Inside diameter of lenses is approximately 11/8 inch, Not known what lens or camera these were designed for. All lenses are in very good condition, clean, no scratches. Inside lid of box, on the lower right corner is the designation 5 x 7. These pieces look like microscope filters, but the enclosed instruction sheet state they are for camera use.
