This adorable Cookie Jar is a rare vintage 1970's USA McCoy #271 called "Timmy Tortoise". This grinning tortoise or turtle has a Butterfly, with yellow wings and a green body, on top of the Lid.This cookie jar is in very nice original vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. There are scuff marks on the bottom of the jar, and some of the paint on the Butterfly is missing in spots. Also, paint is missing on right side legs of the turtle. Please see the Photos. This cookie jar is marked 271 McCoy USA on the bottom. This is a heavy ceramic pottery cookie jar, and measures 10" tall including Lid.
