This auction is for a very cool item from the Japanese master of the watch making industry – Seiko are hard to rival in terms on innovation, quality and price and this funky number is quite rare to find with the Yellow dial. It has a 6119C automatic (self winding) 21 Jewel movement and is in great working order. The Dial The dial is signed for SEIKO 5 at the top and AUTOMATIC 21 JEWELS under the hands. The most eye catching element here has to be the colour! We see few yellow dials around the place these days. The dial effectively looks sunken with raised hour batons. The crown is neatly tucked away at the 4 position – this design is excellent as the crown will not catch on loose clothing. There is a day/date aperture – the quickset function works perfectly – push the crown in deeply to change the day and slightly less deep for the date. Measurements It measures: 37mms across 33mms top to bottom not including the lugs 7mms deep Movement The movement is the 6119C 21 Jewels auto. It is currently in great working order, keeping good time. Please note however that vintage watches cannot be guaranteed and it is always advisable to have them serviced at regular intervals to protect your investment . Cosmetic Condition Cosmetically, this looks well with some signs of age related wear – the dial has the odd spot of patina but will clean up well if thought necessary. The casing shows light age related wear but the GLASS crystal looks pretty much perfect which in our experience is rare! Most importantly, please study the photos and make your own assessment prior to bidding. Strap It comes on a brand new top quality aerated 18mm black leather strap which retails for over £16.
