For your library: London After Midnight , a novelization by Marie Coolidge-Rask of the screenplay of the Tod Browning/Lon Chaney motion picture (MGM, 1927). This is a second printing of the hardcover 1 st British edition published in 1929 by The Readers Library Publishing Company. The book measures 6.75 inches tall and is bound in maroon boards with gilt titles and decorations on the front cover and spine; there are 250 text pages and eight pages of photo-illustrations from the motion picture. A previous owner has signed and dated the book on the title page (‘June-July 1929’); the spine is a bit faded and the gilt there is somewhat dull; the edges of the binding are intermittently rubbed; there is a half-inch cut along the fold between the front cover and the head of the spine, but it affects only the outermost layer of the paper boards; the edges of the text block are dusty; otherwise, this is a solid very good copy of a fragile book that rarely survives in collectible condition. This book will be packed carefully and shipped via insured US Media mail. Thanks for looking.
