Shadow Iris Flip Top sugar bowl with spoon made by Gemco for Corelle. A rare and hard to find item to match your Shadow Iris collection. We received it as a wedding gift 19 years ago and it has never been used. Ideal for those spouses that have a tendency to drop and break sugar lids! It is a glass jar with the plastic flip top lid. Included is the plastic serving spoon. There are no cracks, chips or scratches. The plastic lid features the Shadow Iris decal on 2 sides. The decals are intact, bright and strong. The bowl is 3 1/8 inches in diameter and is 4 1/2 inches tall with the spoon. Please supersize all photos for best details. Gemco Ware Inc. operated as an independent company from 1948 to 2003. It was located in Hauppauge and Freeport NY, and a British subsidiary was based in Didcot Oxfordshire. Gemco was acquired by the Lifetime Hoan Corporation which also owns the Farberware and Pfaltzgraff brands.In the 1980s & 1990s, Gemco was a licensed Coordinates manufacturer and many of their pieces in clear glass with plastic patterned tops have authentic designs. This product line was named Corning Coordinates for Corelle. The company has also produced matching accessories in clear glass for other dinnerware manufacturers, like Pfaltzgraff.
