Cory gasketless/rubberless vacuum coffee maker DRU / DCLYou are bidding on a Cory gasketless vacuum coffee maker model DRU/DCL.Vintage from the 1940's when the war shortages affected rubber supplies, these are especially nice because there is no gasket to wear out or harden. Nothing but glass between you and your coffee. The pots are in almost perfect condition, no chips or cracks, and very light wear on the silver lettering/stripes. No rust on the metal band for the handle. If you haven't used a gasketless model before, you will need to moisten the ground glass seal before beginning the brew process, and make sure the pot is sitting flat and doesn't wobble on the burner. Theseal is sensitive to bumps while the extraction phase is happening.Complete with a Cory filter rod (Design patent 114,097, which dates from 1939) in great shape, and the top/funnel holder, also in great shape. Please let us know if you have questions.Thank you and !
