When I first spotted this painting on the wall, my heart melted.....Up for bid is a stunning oil painting of a sweet, cherub like infant reaching up to embrace a lamb...the subject matter is so tender...the detail of the lamb is wonderful...its thick, curly coat can almost be felt...The lamb looks kind, yet curious, as its nose approaches the face of this infant...the child, with his red checks and blond curly locks, reaches up his arms to bring the lamb closer to him as if he wants to kiss him...so sweet! The baby is laying on a white blanket, with its many folds that seem to cradle the infant...painting is unsigned...The antique gold frame is heavily carved and is quite thick and weighty....the entire work measures 11 x 9...Please take a look at all of my paintings and other wonderful, fantastic finds....
