German lidded stein / tankard Cleaning out the basement and came across this. Don't know much about it. As can be seen in the photo, base has engraved into it - GERMANY 1248 . Another photo shows arrow pointing to circled engraved - 0.51 . I have no idea what that means. Measures approx. 9" tall. Check out the photos, the item in the photo is the item you will receive. Photos show the actual item. Appears to be some type of ceramic material. Lid could be pewter or some similar type of metal. Priority mail shipping with delivery confirmation is $10.50. Insurance is your choice for an extra $1.40. Once I turn the package over to the Post Office I am not responsible for loss or damage ~ that is the purpose of insurance.
