Book size magazine---PERSIMMON HILL, Volume 5, Number 3, National Cowboy Hall of Fame & Western Heritage Center, 1975. Magazine is about 8 3/8" x 11", 128 pgs. including many gray tone & full color photos ranging up to full pg. Full color drawing [please see photo #3]-'COWBOY HALL-Cradle of Western Americana,' from the sketchbook Byron B. Wolfe. Title pg. at top notes, 'National Cowboy Hall of Fame and Western Heritage Center representing the seventeen western states was founded by Chester A. Reynolds and officially opened June 26, 1955...'; title pg. lower center, right side, reads, 'Founded in January, 1955. Site dedicated November, 1955. Ground broken for building, 1958. Formally dedicated and opened June 26th, 1965.' CONTENTS include building the building, re-enactments, Hollywood cowboys [John Wayne, Walter Brennan and others], photos & artwork from the past, capturing the spirit of West.
