CPR Steamships BC Canada - two late 1940s vintage photographs - 1 of the SS Motor Princess and the other of the SS Hollyburn . In the photos, each ship is under steam along the BC coast. The Motor Princess was on the Steveston to Sidney run till 1950, then was sold to the Gulf Islands Ferry Company. She was later rebuilt as the Pender Queen then retired and sold, being renamed Pender Lady. She sank and was scrapped in the Queen Charlotte Islands in 2003. The Hollyburn was launched in 1936 and operated by Harbour Navigation on a run to the Wigwam Inn in North Vancouver. Each photo measures approximately 5 3/4" by 3 1/2" (roughly postcard size). The photos came from an original scrapbook from the estate of the photographer, and the ship names can be seen on the bows of the ships. The photos were mounted with photo corners and are in lovely condition. ( I will be listing other ship photos from this scrapbook). T are no markings on the backs of the photos. These are PHOTOGRAPHS.......they are NOT POSTCARDS, but were listed in this category also, as many card collectors include photos in their collections. You get both photographs in this lot. No reserve. Shipping is $2.50 to Canada, ...$2.50 to the US....and $4.50 to other countries. Registered or insured mail is an extra cost, so please ask if you require this additional service.
