CRITICAL TEMPERATURE KNIVES This knife and sheath are completely hand made by American craftsmen here in the Pacific Northwest . SPECS : Blade Material..............O1 Tool Steel Handle Material...........Black Canvas Micarta BladeThickness............ 3/16" Blade Width......................1 1/4" Blade Length....................6" Total Length......................11" CONSTRUCTION: Using only the toughest, strongest, and most durable materials, this and every other Critical Temperature knife is handcrafted from start to finish. This means that each and every knife is unique, even within model lines. The blades are hand ground from O1 Tool steel, an American steel whose edge holding capabilities and durability are legendary. DESIGN: We design our knives with one thing is mind: FUNCTION. Our knives are built to perform in the harshest of conditions, and last several lifetimes. BLADE: CQC stands for "Close Quarter Combat", and that is what out CQC Knife is designed for. The longer blade, acute tip, and sweeping razor edge make it exceptional at both thrusting and slicing strokes. Although it is designed for combat, like all our knives it is very useful in other applications around camp. It's tip geometry is strong enough for countless digging, prying, and drilling app's, while retaining exceptional penetration properties, thanks to to false upper edge. In its current state, the user can place their finger on the spine all the way down to the tip for greater control. However, it is ground thin enough to be sharpened, if that would benefit it's intended purpose. HANDLE: The handle is hand contoured to fit perfectly in your hand, and unlike many other "tactical" knives out there, there are no finger grooves, sharp edges, etc. limiting your grip positions. This design performs in any grip. The black Micarta scales are riveted to the full tang with hollow rivets. These rivets allow 550 cord or any similar cordage to pass through for endless tactical applications. Full tang means that the the same bar of steel that the blade was crafted from extends the entire length and width of the handle, so even if you managed to break off the handles (which would be quite a feat) the blade is still perfectly functional. SHEATH: The CQC comes with a Digi-Camo SPEC-OPS brand SURVIVAL sheath, a top of the line tactical combat sheath. It will mount to basically anything, including INTERCEPTOR Body Armor. Spec Tie-down loops on underside. Web loop at bottom for tie-down to packs, leg-loop, etc. Extra durability with double-layered 1000D Cordura® fabric used throughout. Mil-spec. Grommet tie-downs along sides of sheath body. Jump-ready with redundant tie-down for knife handle and additional secure-down points along body and backside of sheath.
