This is a large Cranberry Slag Glass Water Pitcher... with a hand applied Crystal Handle and base... and an exaggerated hand crimped Â"Spanish DancerÂ" style... or Â"Ruffled PetticoatÂ" top... rim and hand formed pour spout. It stands a very impressive 10 1⁄2 inches tall... and over 9 inches from the tip of the pour spout to the curve of the slender Â"thin ribbedÂ"... hand applied handle. It appears to be in excellent condition. IÂ'm finding no Â"makerÂ's markÂ" anyw on this Pitcher... which is not surprising. We find that a good portion of all glassware... of this type... was produced from molds that did not contain identifying makerÂ's marks. Attached paper labels were usually the only identification they carried... and these were most often devoured by the first bath of warm soapy water the piece was subjected to!!!... In some cases we recognize a pattern... and can attribute it to a specific maker. But in many cases... old companies have closed down... and their molds have been... Â"scattered to the windsÂ"... making it almost impossible to fallow the elusive trail of both the patterns... and the molds. For us glass collectors t are two distinct fields when it comes to Â"glass colorsÂ". The field of common colors include those colors we run across without much of a search.
