previously trading as: Entertainment Memorabilia and other collectable curiosities Terms & Conditions | About Me This is a curiosity. Dated “Sept 1932” in tiny print on the cover it is the programme for “Gingerella”, a summer pantomime at the Palladium. The piece was supposedly written by “R. White and Co” (the London soda pop company) with music by “Harland and Wollf” (not quite the company that built the Titanic!). The cast was composed of the early Crazy Gang members, Charlie Naughton, Jimmy Gold, Teddy Knox, Billy Caryll and Hilda Mundy with Jimmy Nervo as “Sinders” and Binnie Hale as the Prince. Eddie Gray is in the company, years before he was formally adopted as a Crazy Gang member. The magician Jasper Maskelyne is credited as playing one of “The Lads”. The credits are all jokes: “Wigs by Barnet”; “Kingston by Pass” etc and the comedy continues on the back page, with a collection of “candied (sic) confessions”. Gingerella was a short-running show, and I have never seen another copy of the programme. It is in good condition, with just minor signs of wear.Crazy Gang collectors should view my "other items" to see another relevant programme I have on sale this week - shipping will be less if buying more than one item!
