Ladies and Gentlemen,
Before you now is simply the definition of premium, original movie poster collecting in the vested interests of vintage, 1950s, Universal Picture's Sci-Fi / Horror poster's GREAT! Yes, its true, an all wondrous, and fine first release, 1954, U.S., WINDOW CARD MOVIE POSTER is NOW AVAILABLE TO YOU FROM THE PANZERTEX! To Jack Arnold's brilliant Directed 1954 Universal-International released epic, THE CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON! This monumental piece is absolutely the real deal, genuine artifact, and IS the finest ever WINDOW CARD I have ever had the pleasure of owning, but in ever seeing! The Window Cards for the first CREATURE i n my life's collecting, have always been severely marred by flaws that are just horrible! The last one that I encountered was being offered on E-Bay about a year-and-a-half ago, and I won it, & acquired it from a noted dealer. When the piece arrived I was just shocked when unwrapping it! The piece was literally washed out in all of its color values, and even its details to a significant degree?! It was so jarring that I deduced it had to be a forgery, as my 35+ years in collecting has NEVER encountered an abortion as this?! I was informed that the piece had undergone some sort of split re-surface restoration by which the paper is literally split in two halves, and the image side is re-add to new backing. Now, I had no real understanding in what could ever dictate such a ridiculous operation as this to begin with, nor if indeed such a NASA style restoration took place, or even can take place (?!), but never had an explanation as to how this operation left THE PRINTED IMAGE OF THE POSTER SO DRAINED OF COLOR, AND ALL? The answer was not acceptable, as the seller tried to stick with me with this heinous piece that had no mention at all (!) of this 'split-talk' b.s.restoration in his listing?!) Finally all was resolved when taking the piece to a major venue of operations that no collector, or seller wishes to be witnessed as a con artist by, and the scenario of CREATURE fraud cleared up when phoning the seller from the expert of movie posters at Heritage Auctions for all to hear this fantastic accounting of what this depressing disaster of a 'Creature Window Card' was that I was sent! Other 'CREATURE' Window Cards in the past encountered by me over the years, for some reason, were all marred to much for my acquisition. I'm not sure why, ut was probably just a weird coincidence in the CREATURE Window Cards I came across. In either case, let me stress right off the bat that THIS CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON Window Card from the film's first ever U.S. Release is a stunning piece from National Screen Service via Universal Pictures, Hollywood, Ca.! Its colors are perfect with NO FADING AT ALL EXHIBITED, AND THE ENTIRE BODY OF THE POSTER, BELOW THE TOP, BLANK AREA FOR PRINTING WHATEVER THEATER IT IS TO PLAY, IS IN ABSOLUTE PRISTINE MINT ORIGINAL CONDITION! THE CORNERS ARE NOT EVEN BENT, NOR ARE T ASNY PIN, OR TACK HOLES!~!~! This is overall amazing, and a certain winner for sure! The CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON's WINDOW CARD shares the same excellent Reynold Brown artwork as the film's U.S. 1-Sheet movie poster! However, this artwork was designed by Brown for the Window Card style poster, as Reynold Brown designed for the 27" x 41" U.S. Standard 1-sheet another design that he argued provided a more balanced presentation of the imagery. I definitely see this, as the CREATURE Window Card has always been a favorite of mine, and is so even when compared to T he Creature's one sheet which seems to contain a noticeable amount of 'dead-space' within it. The Window Card provides a perfect size/style to present this illustration crafted by the prolific illustrator Reynold Brown , as the art fits, and fills this Window Card beautifully. An absolute magnificent top name titles in original science fiction/monster movies glorious is THE CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON, which is a fact by which we all can agree, as-well-as a piece that will be ob...
