A classic Creil type plate, black transfer decoration on creamware body, this one with an English country house , Hatfield ('Chateau de Hatfield, Comte de Herts, Angleterre;). The borders is a grapevine motif. The plate is 9.75" diameter. Transfer mark on rear is 'Stone Coquerel et Gros, Paris'. Condition is fair/good, with considerable knife scratching, some discoloration in scratches, on surface, brown spots on rim. Nevertheless a beautiful and elegant plate, with the distinctive detail typical of these wares.
