CROWN DEVON FIELDINGS MUSICAL TANKARD - KILLARNEY. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail (1 to 3 business days).A VERY COLLECTIBLE MUSICAL TANKARD BY CROWN DEVON FIELDING OF ENGLAND.(In excellent condition including the Clockwork Movement.)A highly collectible pottery musical Tankard in Crown Devon pottery and in soft , delicate pastel colors It is titled.....THE IRISH JAUNTING CAR.Made in England, it features an Irish scene of a "Jaunting Car" pulled by a small pony, in beautiful Killarney Lakeland scenery. And on the opposite side of the Tankard is a three verse poem lauding the lovely Killarney Lakes. The "Jaunting Car" is a small traditional two wheel Irish carriage, pulled by one pony. They have lengthways seats for two or four passengers placed back to back.They are a favorite means of touring the Killarney lakes and countryside. The jaunting cart drivers are renowned for their cheerfulness and charming storytelling.We believe that the Jaunting Car Tankard on offer was made before 1930 and is in excellent condition, with no damage and the clockwork movement works perfectly.The Tankard is 5" high, 3 3/8" wide at the rim and 4 1/4" at the base.It is always a very desirable item for Crown Devon collections.Thank you for visiting this item.
