This fine quality Centennial china cup and saucer features the celebration of the First National Centennial Anniversary 1876. The cup has the words: First Blow For Freedom-Gaspee, June 10, 1772. It pictures the English ship H.M.S.Gaspee which was burned near Providence, Rhode Island on that date. The cup measures 2 1/4" tall with a top diameter of 2", the saucer is 4 1/2". In good condition with no crazing, cracks or repairs, t are some tiny light scratches on the inside of the saucer and small chips on the bottom as shown in the photos. Although it has no makers mark it is an good piece of historical china. We will combine items to save on shipping when possible. Buyer is to pay $4.60 priority shipping in U.S.A.
