US CURRENCY 1934 $1 FUNNYBACK SC Old Paper Money VFINE LAST FUNNYBACK NOTE This is the DISTINCTIVE Silver Certificate known for its famous reverse . It is the 1934 $1.00 SILVER CERTIFICATE , in VERY FINE condition in my opinion, but you can judge for yourself to make the final decision with these photos which you can enlarge . This was the last time the FUNNYBACK reverse was used. The note comes with full corners, good color contrast with no writing, ink, holes, or tears. The Pre-1935 series are unique among Silver Certificates because of the reverse of the note. The Blue Seal is Large and on the right side. The note shows signs of light folding and minimal wear from light use. It has lots of crispness and is fully intact and fairly clean, a real nice looking note even though it has folds and wrinkles. Its crisp, clean and has no pin holes, tears or missing pieces. Book value is $35.00 in very fine condition, $145 in CU but market demand has even Ebay auction prices routinely above $45 . Retailers and Shop at Home TV often ask $50+ as well. Decent Funnybacks are just hard to find. So I guess the books just haven't caught on the recent growth in demand for these unusual notes.
