US CURRENCY 1934D $5.00 BLUE SEAL This is a nice note. A 1934D $5.00 SILVER CERTIFICATE , in Choice FINE condition. But you can judge for yourself to make the final decision. You can enlarge the photos . The note has the distinctive LARGE BLUE SEAL of all 1934 $5 silver certificates. It was actually printed from 1949-1953 during the second term of President Harry Truman. It has the signatures of Clarke and Snyder. This note is firm and fairly clean, it has sharp corners, excellent color contrast with no writing, or missing pieces. There are wrinkles and folds. There is light soiling visible, no pin holes or tears. It is a good example of old paper money. The Large Dark Blue Seal and serial numbers are striking. Book Value is $12.50 for the note, but retailers and the Shop at Home TV Channel often charge alot more in this condition . *** Its a great example of a piece of American History when paper money was backed by real silver.
