Up for Bid: Currier and Ives 12" Chop Platter. These are my grandmother's dishes. They were purchased around St Louis in the 50's and 60's by my great grandmother from the A&P stores for her newlywed daughter. They have been in her possesion ever since. One owner and very well kept. This auction includes: One 12" Chop Platter with "Getting Ice " print. Excellent condition. No chips, cracks, or discoloring. It is perfect! My pricing comes from advise of antique dealers and A Collector's Guide for Currier and Ives Dinnerware by Royal China CO. by Eldon R Aupperle. Mr. Aupperle listed in his book a "fair and equitable price for the blue/white dinnerware." The figure he listed for this piece is $30. I am listing the auction considerably lower at $15. I have a huge collection totaling 147 pieces. So please check my other auctions, I do combine shipping. If you are interested in anything listed that is not up for auction yet, please email me and I will list it for auction next.
